About the job

gTech's Product and Tools Operations team (gPTO) leverages deep user, operational, and technical insights to innovate Google's Ads products into customer experiences that are so intuitive (or automated) that they require no support at all. gPTO partners closely with gTech's Support, Professional Services, Product Management, and Engineering teams to innovate and simplify our Ads products and build the productivity tools ecosystem for gTech users.

We are the owners of the gTech Ads Single Source of Truth for operations data. We ensure our users have access to aligned, accurate and useful business metrics and dimensions, that support their operations.

In this role, you will deliver on our mission, and collaborate with our partners, in order to achieve a gTech Ads Ecosystem with: single-source-of-truth data that is robust, high-quality and trusted, informative visualizations supporting reporting, automated insights and analyses that enhance decision making at all levels, and reporting infrastructure that is stable and scalable.

In understanding the user need, you will partner directly with operations, analytics, and central strategy teams to align and define operations data concepts. To deliver reporting, you'll partner with the Customer Engineering (CE) and Tools Development and Automation (TDA) organizations. Where there is a gap between business requirements and available products, you'll prioritize the need, identify solutions and deliver resulting product initiatives.

As a Data Engineer, you'll design and develop the data infrastructure to ensure that gTech Ads team members have the product, support, and operations data they need to make crucial business decisions. You'll have the opportunity to design innovative data solutions and solve challenging problems using Google's large-scale production data infrastructure.

Google creates products and services that make the world a better place, and gTech's role is to help bring them to life. Our teams of trusted advisors support customers globally. Our solutions are rooted in our technical skill, product expertise, and a thorough understanding of our customers' complex needs. Whether the answer is a bespoke solution to solve a unique problem, or a new tool that can scale across Google, everything we do aims to ensure our customers benefit from the full potential of Google products.
