As a Data Developer 2, you will be empowered to support short-term and long-term operational/strategic business activities; develop, enhance, and maintain operational data and models that will have an impact on business decisions. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop business data transformation to support operational, product, customer, and reporting development efforts
  • Develop product analytic transformed population data sets that drive business insights
  • Develop data verification, quality methods and standard systems procedures that will be used to support Business Intelligence Platforms
  • Develop BI driven metrics, aggregations, hierarchies, naming, and security (tables, view, and row)
  • Integrate code with Git version control and approval
  • Review model changes with product manager, product data owner, and report developer
  • Document tables, columns, metrics, security restrictions on data use

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 + years of work experience with the following:
    • ETL technologies
    • Data sourcing and distribution analysis and design
    • Conceptual and logical data modeling (relational and dimensional)
    • Data Visualization tools, such as Power BI, Power BI Report Builder, or Tableau
  • Fluent in SQL/formula programming including query optimization for data platforms
  • Experience with BI development or data modeling dedicated to BI development and data visualization tools


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Experience with CA Rally tools
  • Experience with Agile project management
  • Experience with Data archival, purging and retrieval implementations
  • Experience with Git version control or project-based code development tools
  • Experience developing with a programing language, such as Python, Java, Scala, Go, or JavaScript
  • Experience with cloud databases, such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse
  • Experience with data modeling using Healthcare data best practices, database configuration, and reference data management

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $71,400 to $127,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
