The way we collect our data is not always the optimal way for us to use our data. The Data Consumption Team has recently been stood up within CCB Data & Analytics to resolve that issue. We transform our disparate data sources to drive an easier, more efficient, and more effective user experience for data consumers throughout CCB, helping our employees do more for the customer more quickly.
With JPMC's intensified emphasis on data and analytics, our function's significant role in enabling that work makes the work our team does particularly visible. As a new and growing team, we're looking for someone who wants to dive right in and make an impact by uncovering creative and innovative ways to solve business problems using an assortment of data science methods, algorithms, and techniques.
As a Data Science Associate, you will make a meaningful impact by:

• Using your knowledge and technical skills to help drive our strategy and priorities
• Collaborating across teams to deliver the best solution for data consumers, leveraging a wide range of internal resources
• Helping stakeholders define their business problem and scope analytical solutions to address it
• Building an in-depth understanding of the business and available data assets
• Researching, designing, implementing, and evaluating analytical approaches and models
• Executing the analytics and prototyping the solutions: collect and clean data from diverse data sources and locate new data sources, build and test solutions, supporting the plan to operationalize and scale them, etc.
• Effectively communicating proposed solutions and the insights of your work to stakeholders

About You
We're looking for a highly motivated team player with a passion for applied data science and with the initiative and insight to develop innovative solutions.
Key Qualifications:

• Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, etc.

Desirable Skills:

• Exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Ability to collaborate across teams using a consultative approach
• Self-starter with demonstrated strong work ethic
• Knowledge of Alteryx and SQL, Python, and/or R
• Experience in practical data analysis and cleansing, modeling (machine learning, time series, NLP), and visualization
• Basic awareness of Big Data technologies & their applications
• Data Science Boot Camps certifications and/or work experience as a data scientist are a plus
• Strong track record of success as demonstrated by professional/educational background & accomplishments
