As an Enterprise Initiatives Data Analyst, you will:

  • Provide high value service to internal and external clients in an environment that promotes Baird's culture and the Operations mission and values statement.
  • Utilize data analysis to monitor process efficiencies and/or identify data integrity exceptions.
  • Identify and contribute to productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements to drive exceptional client service and risk mitigation.
  • Support team as the subject matter expert by understanding end-to-end processes.
  • Provide comprehensive technology solutions to support user needs and other issues escalated by internal personnel, leveraging data and process SMEs, as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of the breadth of Baird's products, processes, systems, financial markets, investment products, and industry regulations as required to deliver on business objectives.
  • Interface with various Baird business units to support firm wide and Operations initiatives.
  • Participate on project teams as a subject matter expert (often related to data strategy) in the creation of requirements.
  • Identify and propose recommendations that enhance and mature the foundational technology capabilities of the team and organization.
  • Partner with Corporate Resource Group teams to implement and develop policies to satisfy regulatory obligations.
  • Create and execute overall testing strategies, including test scenarios, scripts, and data creation. This includes communication and documentation of testing progress, results, defects, and conclusions.
  • Assist with the resolution of complex process issues, branch issue resolution and/or error resolution.
  • Establish teamwork through collaboration, mentoring and contributing to the development of associates.
  • Perform other duties as required.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree; degree in Business or Information systems is a plus.
  • 5+ years of advanced expertise in data extraction, reporting, and automation; strong SQL, VBA or comparable skills are required. Experience in a financial services operations role is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain Series 7 or 99 within one year of hire.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products such as advanced Excel features & functions, Power Query, Power BI, Master Data Services, Visio, etc.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to perform complex problem solving.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments; work under pressure and within deadlines and produce accurate, high-quality results.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Passion for providing high-value client service.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively, relating to others in order to accomplish work responsibilities and objectives.
  • Diverse understanding of operational procedures and processes.
  • Highly motivated individual who has a desire to learn, and an ability to think creatively in a demanding environment.
