As a Data Analyst, you will leverage business and technical knowledge to develop new and innovative analytical solutions. Additionally, in this role you will use established best practices to verify insights for leadership and may conduct exploratory work pertaining to upcoming and/or ongoing product development.
Responsibilities:
- Extracts and interprets data to answer ambiguous questions while working directly with personnel across the network. This can include exploratory work, prototyping, visual development, data structuring, data validation and cleansing
- Proactively analyzes topics, identifies, and creates recommendations supported by data and facts and adapt analysis based on feedback
- Operational improvements to the team and the business in general
- Using agile processes, take in reviewed work through work management tools such as Github, Azure boards
- Clearly translate and communicate complex concepts into understandable, professional presentations
- Consults, supports, and informs leadership using data driven insights
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years with analytics experience developing business solutions using comprehensive, robust data assets
- Intermediate proficiency with SQL, PowerBI, Excel, Powerpivot and other visualization tools
- Experience with Microsoft's analytical tool set including SQL, PowerBI, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to think creatively to develop a data model or perspective to answer challenging business problems or scenarios
- Experience with Snowflake and T-SQL
- Intermediate experience of a programming language such as Python and/or R
- Organized individual with strong self and project management disciplines, including the ability to lead, facilitate, and influence
- Comfortable working autonomously, but seeks guidance when needed
- Creates comfortable, open-minded conversations with those who seek information, guidance or analytical collaboration
- Effective communicator and data/reporting/business liaison through multiple mediums
- A willing teacher/mentor who also responds positively to feedback from leaders and colleagues
- Works well with remote teams
