The Role
We have an exciting newly-created role for a Data Analyst who will own, manage, implement and support several initiatives to support Reorg’s data strategy.
You will be responsible for leading/implementing initiatives critical to Reorg’s data strategy.
Responsibilities
- Manage reference data such as company and security identifiers on Reorg’s covered universe, including CUSIP, ISINS, MIC, CIK, FIGI and others.
- Map processes for critical data operational processes to ensure optimal collaboration and performance.
- Create an operational layer of data catalog (meta-data repository)
- Support creating new data structures for new data sets.
- Querying Reorg’s databases to identify, remediate and report out on data quality issues.
- Support operational management of enterprise wide KPIs.
- Partner with Data, Editorial, Product Management and Technology teams across Reorg to define requirements for critical data projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer information systems, business administration, or a related field
- Experience structuring databases with a minimum of 3-4 years of prior experience.
- Expertise iin SQL and have no trouble querying large, complex database tables
- Effective project management skills, including strong attention to detail, and demonstrated analytical skills.
- Basic understanding of securities and related identifiers (equities, fixed income, loans, etc)
- Experience with API implementations a plus
- An excellent communicator, with the ability to interface at all levels
- Skilled at partnering with people across the enterprise
- Innovative, creatively pushing the boundaries and don't shy away from challenges.
- You have a strong work ethic, are self-motivated and have the ability to continuously acquire, build and share knowledge, in a fast paced environment
