Data Analyst
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a bright and curious Data Analyst to leverage a wide set of analytical skills to help us advance our Operational Reporting for our FC Network. You will have the opportunity to drive the foundational operations metrics and reporting used by our fulfillment leadership teams at all levels. In this role, you will work with strategic data sets and investigate trends, developing intuitive views and dashboards that will play an integral role in the direction of our fulfillment centers as we grow, scale, and enter new markets.
What You’ll Do:
The successful candidate will have a varied and broad skill set around data. Day-to-day responsibilities will focus around performing deep-dive investigations into data questions and weaving those findings into an effective story to drive changes within the Fulfillment Center Network. This role will be responsible for FC Operational Executive reporting and data sources. You will also be responsible for taking analytic findings and working with development teams to implement the methods used within the analysis to drive analytic insight around the findings. This role is high visibility and high impact. Good communication and collaboration is essential.
What You’ll Need:
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, MIS, Engineering or related quantitative discipline
- At least 1 year of related, full-time experience in an analyst role working on a business team
- Strong Vertica SQL skills with a working understanding of analytics platforms and columnar databases
- Demonstrated experience with BI Tools (Tableau, Power BI, OBIEE, Qlikview, etc.).
- Experience interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques
- Experience presenting findings to business partners across the organization, including executive leadership
- Excellent technical skills and a strong passion for data analysis and investigation
- A self-starter mentality and ability to operate within a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- An ability to work with unstructured or poorly defined data sets
- Proven analytic skills using SAS, R or Python.
- An ability to develop production level code that can be implemented at an org level
- A foundational understanding of statistical techniques such as regression, predictive modeling, forecasting, time series analysis, and clustering
