The purpose of the Data Integration and Analytics (DIA) Analyst position is to execute IT work across Manufacturing and Quality (MQ) systems and technologies.

The DIA Analyst role collaborates closely with Business Integrators to gain understanding of relevant processes at Site and Global levels. This role ensures that systems are delivered, maintained, and optimized. The analyst is expected to identify and implement technical requirements resulting in appropriate information solutions while continually growing the depth of knowledge in applicable technologies, tools, methodologies, and/or business concepts. The analyst evaluates and translates functional requirements into technical requirements, resolves challenging technical issues, generates documentation as required, and exchanges information with colleagues.

This position will report to MQ IDS Sr. Director

Responsibilities:

  • Use standardized processes for requirements definition, analysis, design, construct, and test activities
  • Research Innovative tools/technologies aligned with business objectives. Partner with Data and Analytics Advisor to evaluate tools/technologies
  • Assist Analytics Advisor in developing best practices around the use of tools such as PowerBI, Azure ML Studio, etc.
  • Coordinate sharing of best practices/principles, etc across sites and global teams with the goal of fostering reuse and replication.
  • Understand, define and help implement self-service BI across global teams and sites.
  • Assist the MQ Data and Analytics Advisor in the running of architecture governance processes and Tools LCM evaluation and positioning
  • Assist the MQ Data and Analytics Advisor with creating content for and managing the Information Architecture portal
  • Assure MQ Analytics best practice adhere to company and regulatory policies
  • Support and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of end user training and procedures
  • Work collaboratively and effectively on multi-discipline cross-functional teams with representatives from departments across the corporate IT, sites IT, and manufacturing business areas
  • Adapt to and work effectively in an international and multicultural environment where colleagues members are spread across different countries
  • Experienced hires: Work collaboratively with less experienced members of the team



Basic Requirements:

  • BS in IT, Life Science, Computer Science, or Engineering (or equivalent work experience)
  • Years of Experience: 4-7 years of experience



Additional Preferences:

  • Experience collaborating with Business Integrators or BPAs to analyze and translate use cases into implementable requirements.
  • Experience being SME / Ambassador for analytics tools or solutions owned.
  • Combination of experience or knowledge of the following technology categories: Database Management Systems (Oracle, SQL Server, Custom Scripts, Netezza), Reporting (Business Objects, MS SSRS, Tableau, PowerBI), ETL (Informatica), SQL
  • Data and Advanced Analytics technologies (R, Shiny, Cplex, Python)
  • Knowledge of Systems and Software Development Lifecycle concepts including CI/CD
  • Experience developing and driving data governance principles across a diverse, cross-functional landscape
  • Experience developing, deploying and support cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Analytics, time management, problem solving, learning, and process improvement skills
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate - Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Good communication in English (written & verbal)



Additional Information:

  • Travel may be required to other Manufacturing sites in US and/or Europe
  • Regular 8 hr day shift M-F, Off-shift and extended hours may also be required on an occasional basis.
