Role o verview
At Accolade, the Analyst of Solution Analytics is responsible for working in a high priority, fast paced, data driven culture to solve hard problems and find solutions that accelerate the business. You will gain a front-row seat to the most exciting challenges the company is tackling. This position will require high-level , critical thinking to perform analyses that inform the directio n of Accolade's front-line care team staffing strategy . The role will also perform a key function in measuring the health and direction of our clinical value.
A day in the life...

  • Develop cost of service models that accurately forecast and measure the amount of front-line care team effort required to assist members


  • Write/program/develop /automate reports and interactive data visualizations that highlight insights
  • Reporting of key trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines
  • Consider and quantify the impact of changes to our service delivery model and clinical processes on our required staffing as well as business KPIs
  • Refine and execute demand forecast models which accurately predict future interaction volume with our members
  • Continually monitor business performance against input assumptions and reconcile variances to make data-driven recommendations for future hiring


  • Work across finance and workforce management teams to align upstream budget and downstream execution of the capacity plan recommendations
  • Observe, document, and quantify productivity for Frontline Care Team and member supporting roles
  • Independently procure data sets for repeatable and ad hoc report requests through BI tools or the Enterprise Data Warehouse
  • Proactively identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the product roadmap, use case development and business drivers to inform decision making


  • Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for secondary datasets
  • Support ad hoc data requests by writing advanced SQL queries
  • Assist with process definition and library of reusable objects (fields, calculations, KPI, etc.)


What we are looking for ...

  • 2 + years of Business Intelligence , analytics, Workforce Management, or reporting experience
  • Bachelor 's Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Mathematics/Statistics, Information Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering/Psychology, or related fields
  • Curious mind that is asking questions to deeply understand requirements and importance of work
  • Advanced translation skills to easily facilitate communication between heavy data users and end-users
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex business questions, plan, manage , deliver, and maintain workload


  • Working knowledge of data architectural frameworks, development methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Experience in developing capacity plans for a service-based organization
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills characterized by the ability to listen, speak , and write well
  • Ability to plan roadmap, prioritize tasks, manage dependencies, and deliver on time
  • Strong organizational skills and planning prowess, with excellent attention to detail


  • Intermediate SQL scripting languages (T-SQL, PL/SQL, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable in Reporting tools like QlikSense , AWS Quicksight , PowerBI , or Tableau
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data concepts into understandable headlines with ease and comfort
  • Proficient in MS Office with a strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel (including the use of formulas and pivot tables), and SharePoint
  • Familiar with data analytics tools like R, Python, SAS, JMP, etc
