Job Summary
AECOM is building a Program Management Leadership Institute to advance the practice and thought leadership in how to better define and manage infrastructure programs to deliver a better world. We are looking for a Data Analyst who is passionate about collecting and analyzing a variety of data that leads to new ideas for solving client's and therefore the world's most challenging problems.
This will be a remote/virtual position that can be based from a variety of locations in the US, not limited to those listed.
The Data Analyst will work with the Practice Lead to define the kind and nature of data to be collected and the resources to be used in collecting them. To ensure the validity and quality of collected data, the Data Analyst will develop processes and training for program staff and the Global Program Management Team. The Data Analyst will work independently to ensure that data are collected, maintained, and analyzed in a way that provides reliable information to drive results and improve our offerings to the market. To help Global Program Management Business Line achieve its strategic plans, the Data Analyst will perform in-depth analyses on collected data and report actionable information about the following:
Responsibilities:
BA/BS plus 6 years of relevant data analysis experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

- Service and delivery offerings and business impacts: Convincing clients and AECOM program stakeholders to base decisions on specific metrics and showing how we can leverage data to help AECOM focus on initiatives.
- Data strategy, data integration, and technology development: Helping identify highest impact aspects of the Global Program Management strategy, improving analytics capabilities though effective and creative date integration, and prioritizing technology investments through a quantification of their business impact and potential.
- Global Program Management business improvement: Using client, market, and sales-related knowledge, formulate questions and identify key metrics that correlate to program sales and delivery success. Using experience and data analysis results, work with the Global Program teams and subject matter experts to improve operational processes, systems, and tools.
- Data project management: Working with teams of subject matter experts to independently manage data and knowledge transfer-related projects (formulating a plan, coordinating between multiple parties, managing dependencies, informing stakeholders, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Working with the Practice Lead, determine the kind of data to be collected and identify the resources with which to effectively collect them.
- Define, organize, implement, and enforce correct data collection, validation, storage, access, and handling policies, processes, and methods.
- Give proper training to employees to be able to perform data collection independently and effectively
- Ensure the proper functioning of data collection software.
- Develop data collection methods that are individually relevant to any project being embarked upon by the organization.
- Establish standards and processes and help define tools to facilitate data collection and provide means for measuring how well processes are followed and data collection goals are met.
- Interpret and explain complex data to stakeholders so that opportunities and concerns are understood, and appropriate action can be taken.
- Formulate and develop recurring and special reports.
- Conduct analysis to ensure that data collected is adequate and matches what was asked for
- Leverage machine learning and artificial intelligence to design, create, evaluate, or deploy models to production, monitor, and logging of the decisions, and visualize data.
BA/BS plus 6 years of relevant data analysis experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure field
- Experience with Python or R is preferred
- Experience with Office 365 is highly preferred
- Due to the remote nature of this position, relocation assistance is not available
