POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data Analyst (DA) role is to perform research and draw conclusions to inform decisions and to help guide successful tactics and strategy. This is accomplished through timely, insightful research and presenting conclusions in a compelling manner as well as by building consensus for change.This role will primarily focus on supporting our Distribution Center network and our logistical excellence though historical and predictive analytics to evolve our freight, capacity, and labor efficiencies.
This position reports to the Data Analyst Manager.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
- Develop PowerBI datasets, dashboards and visualizations to evolve Quality Bicycle Products (Q) BI and analytical capabilities.
- Be a technical leader in analytical techniques and set high standards for all projects
- Use sophisticated statistical techniques, modeling and predictive analytics to improve business outcomes
- Look for and identify opportunities for improvement in existing QBP processes and develop solutions
- Raise thebar for all analysts by providing feedback to other analysts at QBP to help create the best outputs possible
- Create intuitive models which illustrate the effects of proposed changes and initiatives for a variety of teams and people
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for your area of knowledge and communicate them to leadership
- Become a trusted advisor to department leadership through effectively conveying nuanced context and results
- Provide feedback about the status of initiatives through research and thoughtful insights
- Continue to learn and keep an open mind about what you think you know

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
• QUALIFICATIONS
- Expertise in Power BI, Microsoft's office suite, and SQL
- Predictive and prescriptive analytics experience
- Ability to transform multiple sources of data into dashboards which support various layers of the organization
- Flexible with changing priorities
o Maintain accuracy of work under pressure of deadlines
- Ability and willingness to learn new systems and software
- Willingness to learn about the cycling industry
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
