As the Data Analyst II, you will provide analytic support to UHC Government Program operational reporting and analytics, planning, forecasting, machine learning and process improvements. You will work closely with business leaders to develop innovative analytic solutions, create actionable insights and drive better decisions and performance to help Government Operations fulfill its mission.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative analytic solutions, create actionable insights, and drive better decisions and performance to help the business achieve its objectives
  • Support operational analytics and process improvement data deep dive, identify, and execute on new opportunities for increases in efficiencies and performance
  • Engage in reporting and analysis projects by contributing to report requirement gathering, development, and documentation
  • Influence leadership to adopt new ideas, projects and/or approaches
  • Maintain and update automated processes within company reporting platforms

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent work experience with a technical or healthcare background
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing SQL and/or relational database tools
  • 3+ years of experience in reporting & analysis, machine learning, data management & reconciliation
  • 3+ years of experience in a corporate setting, preferably with a healthcare-based corporation (MCO)
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Tableau/Talend/Crystal reports
  • Ability to demonstrate key successes on business solutions derived from analysis and deep learning


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of health care industry reporting experience

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $71,400 to $127,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
