Positions in this function include those responsible for designing/developing, programming, maintaining, and publishing operational reports. Provides operational analysis utilized for decision making. Makes recommendations based on the analysis and provide explanations for reporting results as needed. May be done for internal operational purposes as well as for customers. - Advanced, structured, standard approach to work.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for intake of all internal and external report requests, ad-hoc or scheduled reports and track all development stages until delivery
• Responsible for gathering complex requirements from internal and external customers
• Responsible for leading data standardization procedures and projects as well as design of simple and complex reports in multiple formats such as excel, PowerBI, Tableau, etc., as well as dashboard design
• Responsible for leading medium and large projects with multiple levels of complexity with internal and external cross functional teams
• Responsible leading documentation standards of report profiles, reporting and development standards and data dictionary items
• Responsible for leading complex analysis for reports, dashboards, and Customer centric projects
• Data Analyst 2 to represent Optum as lead in Reports Improvement Committee among other ad-hoc reporting meetings

Required Qualifications:

• BA in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in analytical research for decision support
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying reports and dashboards
• Basic SQL language skills
