The Data Acquisition Specialist will research, identify, analyze, coordinate, and acquire datasets across multiple categories including ESG, that will be used to support new and existing products & services. In this role, you will play an important part within a talented team, whose mission is to acquire new data that will help drive Dun & Bradstreet’s growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Working with external vendors, D&B WorldWide Network partners, and internal stakeholders, the Data Acquisition Specialist will coordinate, analyze, evaluate, align, and prioritize data sources for acquisition
- Research, identify, and target data sets for acquisition and establish contact with data vendors and partners, acting as a liaison between internal D&B users and external vendors. Acquire data samples and collaborate with D&B teams to evaluate fit for purpose of vendor data. Recommend data for acquisition
- Collaborate with teams from Operations, Product, Analytics, Technology, Procurement, Compliance, Legal and others to facilitate the contracting, onboarding, ingestion, and application of data for its intended use case(s)
- Collaborate with D&B Business Units to identify use case specific data sets to support product roadmaps
Requirements:
- Data Research & Analysis - The demonstrated ability to research, identify, and analyze new and alternative datasets for applicability to D&B Business Unit use cases
- Vendor Outreach - Collaborate with external vendors to identify, test, and acquire new datasets
- Project Coordination – Work closely with and coordinate efforts across internal teams such as Product, Operations, Analytics, Tech and Data Acquisition, as well as external D&B partners
- ESG – Ideal candidate will have working knowledge of and experience in the Environmental, Social, and Governance space and the curiosity and interest in becoming a data expert in this rapidly growing and exciting area
- Qualified candidate will possess a Bachelors' Degree, be a curious person with the ability to synthesize new insights from data, coordinate workflows and deliverables, and work with others to accomplish objectives
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Teams
