The CCB Data & Analytics team is the engine that powers Chase with insights that are used to create competitive advantages for our business, with an emphasis on creating value for our customers.
Unifying data and analytics talent across Chase, the team encompasses a variety of Data & Analytics disciplines, from data governance and data strategy/partnerships, to reporting, data science and machine learning. You will partner closely with our technology partners, leveraging the cutting edge data and analytics infrastructure they have constructed to ensure front-line impact through transformational projects across sales and marketing. The team also offers significant learning and mobility opportunities for career development and future growth.
Within the broader CCB Data & Analytics team, the Consumer Bank Customer Analytics team is responsible for understanding our existing customers' behavior, financial goals, product preferences, and cross-channel interactions through advanced analytics (e.g., Machine Learning, AI). While our team primarily focuses on our 30+ million deposit and investment clients, we frequently work with partners from across other lines of business (e.g., Card, Home Lending, Business Banking, Private Banking).
We are seeking a Senior Associate of Analytics to join the Customer Analytics team. You will play a critical role in developing an impactful analytic roadmap, going deep on specific analyses with support from our team of data scientists, and helping lead the transformation of the business by implementing major cross-functional initiatives. Examples of recent projects include customer segmentation, attrition mitigation, forecasting the evolution of customer channel usage, and identifying key competitive risks and opportunities by analyzing funds transfer data.
Responsibilities:

  • Strategy: Define and drive our analytic agenda, finding and prioritizing the most impactful opportunities to improve our business and customer experience
  • Analytics: Working with our team of data scientists to develop comprehensive analytic plans and execute on analytic projects
  • Storytelling: Ability to take the facts and figures of normal business communication and tie them together with a relatable narrative that contextualizes the events and gives meaning to the business and its objectives
  • Influencing: Work with cross-functional partners to establish new operating models, establish new solutions, and drive organizational change
  • Data innovation: Find, screen, and work with external vendors who can provide data we do not have access to internally to improve our analytic capabilities. Includes piloting/developing proofs of concept.


Key Qualifications

  • Passion for problem-solving. Must be able to think outside the box to implement creative solutions that solve business problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to turn complex data into concise client-friendly findings and recommendations
  • Self-starter who works independently and has the motor to drive change across the organization
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet deadlines, and manage projects. Can stay organized and deliver at a high level while juggling a large book of work
  • Experience with SQL/Tableau/Python is a plus - alternatively, willingness to learn and occasionally get hands dirty is necessary
  • Experience in strategy, management consulting, or similar skillset, and working with analytics, preferably in financial services, is a plus
