Job Description Job Description:
The Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Data Owner Team, under the direction of the CRE Chief Data Officer (CDO), drives development and definition of the data (and metadata) needed to provide integrated reporting, analytics and data-driven execution across all CB business processes. Our work is a blend of strategy, technology, data architecture design and modelling with a key focus on unlocking data to increase adoption by delivering with quality and right controls in place. The candidate will collaborate across CRE Business teams and Data Architecture to define data needs. The candidate will also be involved in the design, development, operating model and implementation of data solutions.
Key Responsibilities include:

  • Work in partnership with Business Stakeholders, Product Owners, End users and Development teams to document use cases, functional specifications, source to target mappings that capture business data and reporting requirements.
  • Insure that data use is in line with the overall CB foundational, master and reference data strategy.
  • Work in Agile environment in partnership with Data Architecture team to insure data models are built with the right tools, controls, quality, operational processes, and procedures to ensure the consistency and quality of CRE data needs.
  • Ensure that data management rigor is in place so that users are confident in the quality of the data.
  • Collaborate with and influence Business Stakeholders, Solution Architects, Engineers and Delivery teams to adopt enterprise data architecture specifications in CRE Data Models.
  • Define data (metadata), identify systems of record and authoritative sources, create data quality rules, create data flow diagrams, and apply firm-wide standards.


Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong passion for business intelligence and analytics with the ability to drive capability. Proven ability to quickly learn the business, the application and adapt to ever changing priorities development using data analytics techniques and statistical methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to distill information and results into simple concepts and actionable insights for a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated success developing and delivering analytics solutions in a dynamic cross-functional environment along with controlled delivery of specific data content through multiple channels including dashboards, API's, Kafka.
  • Experience with enforcing standard data modelling discipline, processes and metrics to support integrity of key CB data, and management oversight driving data quality programs.
  • The ability to Identify areas for efficiency across data domains, such as the elimination of duplicate data or feeds, identify systems of record and authoritative sources, create data quality rules, create data flow diagrams, and apply firm-wide standards and controls.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities/workflows..
  • Ability to build relationships across global teams.
  • 2-3 years (current) understanding of high-level enterprise architecture and software design.
  • 2-3 years (current) hands-on development and programming experience on either Java, Python, Groovy or NodeJS in an AWS or Google Cloud environment..
  • Working experience with messaging and Database technologies such as NoSQL databases and Kafka
  • Experience with modern agile software delivery practices such as scrum, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), TDD, and BDD, DevOps and Automation is a plus.
  • Ability to design and execute repeatable and scalable data solutions (extraction / mining / modeling / visualization)
