Coverage Detection Analyst
This role will have primary responsibility for implementing and supporting Waystar's Coverage Detection project. Primary responsibilities include writing pre-maps/post maps and rules for our clients in addition to assisting with the set up and processing of files for our Coverage Detection application. Waystar's Coverage Detection application obtains accounts typically classified as self-pay and enables our clients to determine proper write off or medical coverage. The process for transmitting and returning Coverage Detection inquiries substantively differs from those inquiries submitted via our traditional eligibility engine, requiring dedicated oversight and a significant level of hands-on activity
What you'll be doing:
• Responsible for the mapping of various file formats including Excel, CSV and text files• Responsible for the writing of pre-maps, postmaps and rules for various file formats including Excel, CSV and text files• Process test assessment requests• Serve as a dedicated operational point-of-contact of the Coverage Detection service line for our client base• Perform the day-to-day activities of processing client provided inquiries• Prepare and deliver response reports to clients• Collaborate with internal technical, payer relations and operational resources to improve service functionality, efficiency, and supportability• Prepare monthly financial information and invoicing for use by the Finance Team• Maintain monthly performance reports, metrics, key performance indicators, financial, etc. to share with management resources• Work with the Enterprise, Direct and Partner clients to ensure they are leveraging our solutions to meet their business needs• Perform other duties and /or projects as assigned by management within the area of responsibility and control• Secondary support to the client services to answer tier 2 related Coverage Detection Analyst
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor Degree is required
- Advanced Degree is preferred
- Must have the ability to read, comprehend and understand various file formats
- In-depth knowledge of batch errors and how to resolve using pre-maps
- Possess a strong understanding of our clients needs and work within time sensitive timelines
- Ability to think strategically and develop new processes and strategies in tandem with our client groups
- Familiarity with Waystar's Eligibility solution
- Attention to Detail
- Strong verbal and communication skills.
- Adept with a range of Microsoft Office solutions, especially Microsoft Excel
