The Opportunity: We are seeking a full time Core System Business Analyst to join the DFCU Financial team. In this role, the Core System Business Analyst will act as the company's internal and external liaison for core banking system and ancillary applications. Identify options for improvement based on business needs with the use of technology. Lead or participate in projects and processes relating to the core banking system and ancillary applications. Ensure the integrity of member data and accounts in core banking system, as well as the efficiency of all system related operational processes.

What You'll Do:
  • Proactively seek, articulate and initiate opportunities for process improvement in the areas where core applications are implicated and lead the analysis and implementation of such changes.
  • Identify and facilitate the review and implementation of new features, functions and application available in the core system and ancillary applications.
  • Lead projects related to core system processes, enhancements, or system updates as assigned.
  • Act as key project team member for each release or update of core system software modules, actively engaging in project tasks such as creating new products, updating global system settings, writing and executing test scripts, reviewing, updating and/or writing procedures or other system or user documentation, logging and tracking support tickets through resolution.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise with core applications.
  • Proactively maintain DFCU's collaborative relationship with core banking system provider.
  • Maintain active involvement in core system user groups and forums.
  • Support the evaluation of core application-related requests as well as system changes introduced in response to the changing regulatory environment.
  • Proactively ensure that system information (knowledge bases, procedures, test scripts, etc.) is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Handle, as a first line of support, all core application related internal support tickets.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to review outstanding issues, process improvement suggestions, system updates, etc., and produce minutes from each meeting.
  • Produce ad hoc core system reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor degree in business related field.
  • Minimum of three to five years progressive, hands on experience with a core banking system; preferably FiServ DNA.
  • Experience with systems logic, banking processes and regulatory compliance in the financial industry.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to work with internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication.
  • Consistent positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills resulting in effective process improvements.
  • Ability to utilize technology to solve business problems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
