At Nova Credit, our mission is to power a more fair and inclusive financial system for the world. Nova Credit’s diverse global team is stitching together the world's credit data into a single network to unlock financial opportunities for immigrants and other populations historically excluded from the credit system. We’ve built a platform that enables lenders to access a single, predictive cross-border credit database to help enable underwriting decisions. We are backed by leading investors including Kleiner Perkins, General Catalyst, and Index Ventures.

As Nova Credit’s first Consumer Insights & User Researcher, you will have the opportunity to lead innovative research with demonstrable impact on a global scale. You will work cross-functionally to define research questions, design the approach to answer them, complete the research, and share your findings to drive impact. You’ll become the go-to source for consumer insights and an internal thought leader on incorporating consumer insights into strategy. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, either professionally or in an academic setting, and a demonstrated passion for social impact. This is a first-of-its-kind position at Nova Credit, so we’re looking for a self-starter who’s excited to chart their own course in a rapidly moving startup environment. If successful, you will help us better understand the needs of immigrants and newcomers, helping fuel our business growth and scaling our ability to bring financial products to underserved populations.

This is a full-time individual contributor position on Nova Credit’s product team reporting to our consumer product lead. It can be based in SF, NY, or remotely within the United States. The role may require travel to conduct in-person user research, both within the U.S. and internationally.

  • Produce high-quality research that informs strategy
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to identify high priority research questions

  • Experience designing and conducting both quantitative and qualitative user research including: aggregate user data analysis, usability testing, user interviews, AB tests, and surveys
  • Ability to craft research findings into a streamlined, cohesive narrative with clear recommendations for a cross-functional audience
  • Understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process
