Consumer Insights, Senior Manager - Advertising Effectiveness
Cox is taking a new direction that will reimagine every customer interaction - from communication to products to customer experience. The Consumer Insights Senior Manager will play a critical role in shaping this future at Cox by crafting and leading marketing research activities that deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions. The types of research to be conducted will include both qualitative and quantitative methods, with a primary focus on advertising and communications effectiveness. Work closely with a team of 10 passionate, strategic, researchers, that each care as deeply as you do about representing the voice of the consumer every day. This job is for you if you enjoy using the best available methods and sources to enable leaders to make strategic decisions based on the insights you provide about our current and prospective customers. A successful candidate will have experience conducting market research, socializing insights across the organization, inspiring empathy for the customer and driving consumer-centric decision making.

What You'll Do
- Consults and advises internal clients on complex research and related marketing issues and decisions (e.g., Advertising, Brand Strategy, Pricing, Product Development, and Product Marketing teams)
- Manages research projects end-to-end, including recommending methodologies, identifying suppliers, managing questionnaire design, determining sampling and analytical plans, and developing presentations
- Works effectively with external consumer research suppliers
- Develops learning plans to address annual business needs
- Analyzes qualitative and quantitative consumer research results to develop meaningful insights and implications to Cox businesses, activities and industry direction
- Translates and communicates market research findings into concise and actionable insights
- Links multiple research studies together over time into overarching insights
- Serves as an internal consultant to senior leaders and other key decision-makers
- Build trusted partnerships with internal partners
- Influence stakeholders and gain buy-in
- Creativity to come up with innovative research solutions and curiosity to follow the data
- Communicate in a clear, compelling, and cohesive story (verbally and written presentations).
- Be courageous and advocate on behalf of the customer; inspire empathy for our customers.

Who You Are
Minimum
- BA/BS degree and 8 years of experience in related field (preferably in a quantitative or research field) OR MS degree and 6 years of related experience (Market Research, Marketing, Brand Management, Strategy Consulting), OR Ph.D. and 3 years of related experience OR High School Diploma/GED AND 12 years of related experience
- Deep expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, statistics, and data analysis techniques.
- Experience in advertising or advertising research
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, influence, and leadership skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
Preferred
- Master's degree in social science research, MBA, or MMR degree
- Experience in telecommunications and/or mobile, cellular category, or subscription-based businesses a plus.
