POSITION PURPOSE
As part of the Customer Insights team, deliver strategic and actionable primary research to shape business decisions throughout the organization. Responsible for defining survey objectives, methodology, overseeing execution, interpreting results and presenting to key stakeholders. Research crosses all lines of business and includes members, group leaders, providers, brokers and marketplace.

    This position will work closely with external partners/consultants and internal business owners across the organization. Specific areas include Legal, Compliance, Health and Quality, Strategic Communications and IT.



QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's in Marketing, Business Administration, Market Research, Psychology, Behavioral Economics or related field is required
  • Master's (MBA) preferred
  • Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Work Experience

  • 2 years of combined experience in variety of market research, marketing, corporate strategy, branding, data/analytics or customer experience is required
  • Must have some form of research experience, such as survey design or analysis of secondary research/reports.
  • A Masters of Analytics or analytics specialization can substitute 2 years of working experience

Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with basic statistical concepts is required
  • A track history of working collaboratively with others is required
  • Project management skills and experience is required
  • Advanced knowledge to include high-level proficiency in current MS Office is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation skills. Must be comfortable presenting to executive audiences.
  • Data analysis skills and experience utilizing and analyzing various business intelligence sources (survey data, purchased data, digital metrics, etc.) to help influence decisions and actions.
  • Experience with online survey platforms (SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, etc.) is preferred
  • Experience in the health insurance field is preferred

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • In partnership with a Senior Analyst, plan and lead qualitative and quantitative primary research efforts for the organization.
  • Some research will be conducted in-house and other research is supported by vendor partnerships.
  • Create surveys and analyze results utilizing online survey platform. Work with third party research vendors to plan and execute research projects as directed.
  • Manage the research project intake process and project status tracking on an ongoing basis.
  • Must be able to successfully manage project timelines and budgets.
  • Work closely with the Senior Analyst to accomplish departmental objectives.
  • Assure research methodologies and design are aligned with business objectives and our corporate strategies. Must be able to design and interpret surveys that are managed internally.
  • Through findings and presentations share research results (tell a story) across the organization.
  • Partner with Customer Experience (CX) leadership to support our CX vision.
