The role:

Galileo is seeking an energetic, detail oriented, self-motivated individual to join our Compliance team. This position requires performing day-to-day compliance management activities in working with our bank partners and clients as well as other projects as assigned. The candidate will have excellent organization, communication, analytical thinking, and follow-through skills to assist in the enhancement of the Galileo Compliance Management System. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be an agile learner, think strategically, have experience in financial compliance and a passion for data validation.  

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in building out policies and procedures that are regulatory compliant and consistent with management’s risk appetite and strategy
  • Assisting with risk assessments, third party over-site and policy/procedure reviews and documentation of controls
  • Leading or participating in projects designed to address regulatory compliance requirements
  • Provide regulatory knowledge to business teams to ensure a culture of compliance and partnership
  • Responsible for the review of complaints to identify regulatory exceptions and process improvements and follow through to determine root cause and related reporting

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 years’ experience in bank or other regulated financial services company
  • Excellent ability to understand and apply financial legal and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and partners within many internal departments
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to research, analyze and interpret rules, regulations and policies
  • Strong understanding of Google Suite Products 
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and competing priorities, meet deadlines and adapt to change, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Working knowledge of federal regulations such as ECOA, UDAAP, Reg DD, Reg E, E-Sign Act, KYC and KYB
  • Experience managing program changes and running small projects

Nice to have:

  • Experience in marketing, policy, and testing review
  • CRCM certification
  • Experience in compliance monitoring, oversight, or assurance programs
  • Advanced skills with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Tableau and Jira
