About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate competitive intelligence/field professional to support our product and sales teams. This role will function as the competitive product leader within CrowdStrike for IT SecOps.

In this role you will be directly working with our product teams to guide roadmap decisions by developing a deep, nuanced understanding of the competition’s technical capabilities, primary GTM strategy/tactics, as well as why CrowdStrike wins or loses vs. the competition in IT SecOps. You will partner with senior leaders across Product Groups, Sales, Enablement, and Marketing to achieve these objectives and scale to a global level.

This role requires deep technical knowledge in cyber security IT SecOps, and a functional understanding of actual real-world deployments, extended use-cases, and customer motivations. The ultimate goal is to uncover new opportunities, strategies and tactics to enable CrowdStrike to win against the competition.

This is an individual contributor, remote work position.

Remote U.S. role within a reasonable commuting distance to one of the following offices:

  • USA – Irvine, CA

  • USA – Kirkland, WA

  • USA – Austin, TX

  • USA – El Segundo, CA

  • USA – Arlington, VA

  • USA – St. Louis, MO

  • USA – Sunnyvale, CA

  • USA – Minneapolis, MN

Additional Responsibilities:

  • You will be required to synthesize and formulate guidance from a variety of information levels and sources (technical, business, field, external) and regularly present key takeaways to the field and to senior leadership

  • Provide a field-actionable, in-depth and ever-evolving understanding and analysis of the IT SecOps market relative to CrowdStrike solutions and capabilities

  • Provide tailored deal support (competitive surgeries & guidance), and develop a deep rapport with the field

  • You will work closely with the rest of the Competitive Intelligence team at CrowdStrike, as well as other key stakeholders (including the office of the CTO, field leadership, sales ops, product, and marketing teams), functioning as a primary liaison for IT SecOps competition which includes development of competitive support material and competitive readiness plans.

  • Make recommendations on sales tactics and product strategy to enable CrowdStrike to win in the market.

  • Will be expected to be a self-starter with an ownership mentality. You will work autonomously in the development of project plans, requirements, timelines, content, and ongoing tracking/updates of the IT SecOps competitive landscape.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Cyber Security market with heavy emphasis on IT SecOps (e.g., vulnerability management, IT hygiene, compliance reporting)

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience (Ideal candidates will have experience in at least TWO of the following): sales engineer/pre-sales, competitive intelligence, solution architect, sales operations, product management, technical marketing, professional services, and technical support.

  • Proven ability to synthesize complex technical concepts into field actionable guidance and executive summaries.

  • Superior communication skills including experience presenting to senior & executive level management.

  • Excellent people and project management skills to manage projects and interact/build rapport with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties

An Insider's view of CrowdStrike

What's something quirky about your company?

Our mascot is a falcon so the SDR team puts falcon in front of activities - for example when we do team stretches when everyone needs to get up from their chair and take a break we call it Falcon Stretch

Jessica

SDR Manager

What does your typical day look like?

A corporate account executive is essentially a relationship manager between any organization that we're working with and CrowdStrike. We're strategic and we really dig into the current security environment of a company. Finding out what their pain points are, finding out what their goals are and then we consultatively position a solution for their

Theo

Corporate Account Executive

How does the company support your career growth?

I started off as an intern and then joined CrowdStrike as an SDR. I was quickly promoted to an SDR team lead and now I'm looking at my next possibilities. I have friends that work in other companies and their trajectory in their first entry level job can take 2-3 years. At CrowdStrike, if you prove yourself, you're fast tracked to the next role.

Marit

SDR Team Lead

How do you empower your team to be more creative?

My leadership style is to be supportive and a little bit experimental. We don't try to cookie cut our reps. We want everyone to find out what they are good at and then coach to those strengths, cover the weaknesses and help everyone find their own way to be successful.

Jack

Director Corporate Sales, East

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

There is real cohesion and teamwork here. We're all in this open setting sharing what is working for us in real time. So I would say it's very much a team and we have a tribal knowledge atmosphere. We all help each other succeed.
