About this Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join LivePerson as a Cloud Data Architect on the front lines of a public cloud transformation. We’re looking for passionate engineers to empower developers migrating data services to the public cloud. We need senior engineers with strong experience in cloud-first, cloud-native system design. The ideal candidate will have a history of designing and implementing highly available and fault-tolerant distributed data systems.

What you will be doing in this role:

• Create reference architecture implementations enabling our developer teams through examples, training, and reusable code.
• Collaborate with application and service delivery teams to develop solution options, lead discussions, assist in troubleshooting, and make recommendations on cloud-native architecture.
• Work with our production partners to migrate data on-premise data centers to the public cloud.
• Analyze emerging technology, market trends, and develop architecture patterns and best practices.
• Be a thought leader in the emerging cloud architecture practices including AI/ML, serverless computing, continuous delivery, infrastructure as a code, automation, and service discovery
• Collaborate with security and legal to ensure compliance and security of data design solutions.

What you need for success:

• 10+ years of experience in the IT industry in a Software Development, Software Architect, or Data Architect Role.
• 3+ years of experience working in a public cloud environment.
• Experience with leveraging existing data migration solutions or developing an in-house one.
• Strong expertise in designing cloud-native data systems
• Expertise in two or more of the following data and analytics technologies:
• SQL Databases (Cloud SQL, AWS RDS, Azure SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• NoSQL Databases (Cassandra, Couchbase, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
• Adv. Analytics Platforms (Looker, AWS Redshift, Databricks, Snowflake)
• Data Lake and Data Warehouse Systems
• Experience contributing to a public cloud transformation before is preferred.
• Experience with risk control compliance is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to understand complex system designs
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
