Duties include:

  • Responsible for creating and managing our Cloud Data strategy for the flows and storage of all Data.
  • Working closely with the cross-functional business, our Cloud providers and application owners to determine how we manage, monitor and create processes for our data usage, flows and storage
  • Putting safeguards and audit trails in place to ensure data integrity is managed and optimized at every step of the process.
  • Defining, challenging and prioritizing Data requirements for multi-businesses and functional teams
  • Develops and implements the cloud data storage, retrieval and processing strategy.
  • Advises other CCOE teams and key business stakeholders on Azure, AWS, GCP data capabilities and architectures.
  • Design advanced conceptual, logical and physical data organizations, models, repository, dashboards, reports within a complete functional and technical architecture.
  • Partners with other members of the CCOE such as architects, infrastructure and software experts to define metadata layers, the technical strategy and optimal integration within the on-prem and Cloud Landscapes to ensure synergies across the two platforms
  • Translate to technical designers or developers designed solution, review proposed solution and optimize it when required.
  • Participate to the definition of testing strategy.
  • Ensure business access to adequate, understandable, accurate data.
  • Design, develop and continuously improve supporting activities (automation of versioning and release management, scheduling, security models, impact assessment of new changes ...)
  • Works with the Cloud Security Lead on ensuring that all data is adequately secured and meets legal/compliance requirements.
  • Oversees cloud-based data analytics and machine learning initiative planning within the organization.
  • Designs, builds, maintains, and troubleshoots data processing systems with a particular emphasis on the security, reliability, fault-tolerance, scalability, fidelity, and efficiency of such systems.
  • Analyzes data to gain insight into business outcomes, builds statistical models to support decision-making, and creates machine learning models to automate and simplify key business processes


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in designing/architecting and maintaining enterprise data systems
  • Significant experience designing, developing, implementing enterprise data architectures platform in various public cloud environments: Azure, AWS or GCP
  • A Cloud Solution Architect / Data Engineer certification from one of the major public cloud service providers is required
  • Strong experience with data warehouses, data virtualization, enterprise data management technologies and analytics platforms
  • Experience with third party business applications as well as data warehouse, database, ERP and CRM systems such as Salesforce, Workdays, SAP...
  • Knowledge & experience with multi-dimensional, relational, structured, non-structured, and NO SQL databases as well as data structures, data modeling, and software architecture
  • Extensive experience working with modern cloud data technologies such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Databricks, etc. is a big plus
  • Knowledge & experience aligning technology roadmaps with strategic business goals initiatives
  • Ability to set technical direction for a project or application
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
