We are seeking a CHCS Systems Analyst to join our team in the Washington, DC. This resource will support the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application - Composite Health Care System (AHLTA-CHCS) Integration program for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Electronic Health Record (EHR) Core Program Management Office (PMO).

This is a remote position with periodic client site support meeting.

Successful applicants must comply with federal contractor vaccine mandate requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform as an OpenVMS Administrator for large enterprise applications in the Federal government sector.
  • Work with key client stakeholders to define and document business processes and test lab requirements.
  • Develop technical solutions to business problems, define, analyze and document requirements.


Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as OpenVMS System Administrator OR should be willing to self-learn OpenVMS and have a minimum of 3+ years of experience as UNIX System Administrator, preferably HPUX and/or RHEL.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as CHCS Application Administrator.
  • Experience of system administration tasks including but not limited to user/password management, resource monitoring (CPU, memory, diskspace, network, etc), backups, security (directory/file ownership, protection, ACL) and more.
  • Experience of application administration tasks for CHCS and components such as transmitters/transceivers, Madapter, Taskman, Apache and more that includes but not limited to installing upgrades, patches, configurations, application user/password management, etc).
  • Must have experience in all components, including computers, network, email systems and software to work properly together.


Job Skills:

  • Must be able to work across distinct but overlapping projects.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership and complete relatively complex tasks, effectively using available resources, as needed, with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to manage, configure, upgrade and patch OpenVMS operating system.
  • Ability to manage, configure, upgrade and patch CHCS application.
  • Ability to manage, configure, upgrade and patch Apache application (though a component of CHCS application environment is managed outside CHCS)
  • Active PIV/CAC credential is a strong plus.


Education:

  • B.S. in an associated discipline or equivalent years of experience is required.


Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • None required.


Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to present proposals and performance data, comfortable interfacing all levels of organization.
  • Good communication skills to effectively work with multiple teams and customers in multiple geographic locations.
  • Ability to write clear and concise creative content in a highly confidential manner.


Travel:

  • Willing to travel (up to 5%)


Environmental Requirements:

  • Mainly sedentary; in an office environment.
  • May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
  • Flexible in working extended hours
