Job Description The CCB Business Modeling Center of Excellence is a team of data scientists focused on quantitative modeling for marketing, finance and operations. We are an intellectually diverse team of economists, statisticians, engineers, and other analytics professionals, focused on quantitative modeling within CCB at JPMorgan Chase & Co. The team answers complex and unique questions, utilizing cutting edge quantitative and computational techniques and leveraging one of the world's largest repositories of consumer data. We work closely with our partners throughout JPMorgan Chase to assess and execute critical business decisions. In this role, you will build models to answer questions and create forecasts for teams across the Finance organization at JPMorgan Chase.
Responsibilities: In this role, you will build models to answer questions and create forecasts for teams across the Finance organization at JPMorgan Chase. Your duties will include:

  • Lead a modeling engagement from understanding the business objective and evaluating the model's business impact, through data sourcing and analysis, to model development and implementation
  • Building statistical models for key business drivers, including forecasting deposits, loans, and revenue
  • Performing advanced quantitative and statistical analysis of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can be used to improve business performance
  • Manage the relationship with business stakeholders and be proactive about changes in model performance, customer behavior, and the competitive landscape
  • Communicating results across audiences throughout JPMorgan Chase
  • Exploring alternative data sources and modeling methodologies
  • Examples of projects that you could be working on include:
    • Forecasting the performance of branches or bankers to improve the branch network
    • Predicting credit card redemption patterns
    • Optimizing pricing for mortgage loans

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Mathematics (or equivalent quantitative field), Ph.D. is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with statistical modeling and Machine Learning applied to large datasets
  • Demonstrated ability to set clear goals, plan ahead, deliver against tight timelines
  • Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability of thinking outside the box
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills to present analytical findings and exercise influence across all levels of the organization
  • Expertise in at least one of the following: Python, R
