Job Description The CCB Data & Analytics team responsibly leverages data across Chase to build competitive advantages for the businesses while providing value and protection for customers. The team encompasses a variety of disciplines from data governance and strategy to reporting, data science and machine learning. We have a strong partnership with Technology, which provides cutting edge data and analytics infrastructure. The team powers Chase with insights to create the best customer and business outcomes.
Within this organization, the Analytic Data Platform product team is developing a premier experience for analysts and data scientists exploring and making use of Chase data (with a special emphasis on investments from JPMorgan Wealth Management). Areas of work include expanding a nascent data warehouse, exploring the data marketplace, developing data products, and experimenting leading tools, both on-prem and in the cloud.
This exciting role is a unique blend of organizational and analytical skills in close partnership with technology and engineering teams. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Executing the data delivery roadmap to integrate customer decisions, interactions and preferences into data warehouse, enabling data-based decisions across marketing, finance, field operations and strategic planning
  • Use input from stakeholders and users to propose insights-driven product development opportunities
  • Create proof-of-concept data products and associated data models, definitions and metadata documentation
  • Devise and implement data quality methodology to ensure consistency, accuracy and validate of the data delivered to consumption platforms
  • Collaborate and build relationships with key stakeholders and contributors at all experience levels across Data Analytics, Finance, Marketing and Technology
  • Use investigation, independent research, and relationship building, to source the key data elements across the organization
  • Adept at explaining and converting complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences at various levels of the business


Skills/Experience:

  • Know SQL forwards and back, able to write SQL database queries in their sleep - deep understanding of data structures, relational databases and data languages such as SQL/Python/SAS/R
  • Identify and troubleshoot root-cause of data quality issues; define test cases and execute testing with a high degree of quality and accurate results
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments, achieve deadlines and deliver quality results within a team environment
  • Manage, self-organize, and meet deliverables according to project schedule
  • Sr. Analyst level will generally have 5+ years of related experience, but open to all great candidates
  • A passion for experimentation - I'm curious what we can do; let's see what happens when I do this....


An awesome surprise would be experience with...

  • Structured data methods including ontologies and vocabularies for use in data marketplaces; Web ontology Language(OWL), W3C, JSON-LD
  • Cloud data foundations, migration and analytics on platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
