Reporting to the Group Credit Leader, primarily provides analytical support for Underwriters including
analyzing financial statements and collateral third party diligence, utilizing financial models and applications, and developing and participating in credit underwriting and structuring as part of the approval process. Analyst's responsibilities include developing a working knowledge of company's product suite. The Analyst performs tasks and assignments under direct supervision.

Supporting the Underwriting of Approval Request: Supports the lead underwriter with regards to the asset-based underwriting process both internally and externally with prospects and clients. The analyst role will support the underwriting, structuring, and documentation of transactions for new clients of the bank and/or new clients to the CCB ABL platform. The analyst helps develop the approval memorandum which includes among other things a company overview, capital structure and management assessments, and a detailed analysis of collateral and financial performance.

Subject Matter Expertise: The analyst should develop and demonstrate the ability to recognize, quantify, and mitigate risks of the transaction. Transactions will include a wide variety of collateral risks which will need to be addressed by the loan structure in order to ensure the approved exposure is properly margined relative to the anticipated recovery against the underlying collateral.

Compliance - The analyst will be tasked with ensuring that the loan underwriting and closing complies with all internal and regulatory risk policies and procedures with exceptions noted and approved by the requisite authority.

Span of Control (include # direct reports): Span of control includes no direct reports, but encompasses regular communication with Underwriting teammates, Relationship Managers, Credit Risk Managers, Credit Review partners, Clients, Technology, and other internal and external audit and examiner functions.

Decision-Making and Autonomy: Teammates in this role are charged with providing independent current and forward looking risk view on clients. They support the authoring of independent risk recommendations including, but not limited to; risk rating, compliance, and underwriting.

Problem Complexity: Complex due to requirement to build and analyze financial models and analyze third party collateral diligence documents
