Lev is looking to hire an experienced analyst/associate to join our Fulfillment team focused on originating, structuring and distributing non-traditional structured debt solutions for clients throughout the US. The candidate will support our team on modeling, analytics, credit, execution, and digitization of the entire origination process. The ideal candidate is a self starter with strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity.

What You'll Do

  • Compile market research on commercial real estate loan originators, mortgage lenders, credit rating agencies, and whole loan buyers
  • Compile data on corporate tenants that lease triple net commercial properties, analyzing their historical and projected financial performance and evaluating their likelihood of renewal
  • Conduct research on the CMBS / conduit / small balance securitization markets, evaluating the underwriting models of major credit rating agencies and securitization sponsors
  • Help develop underwriting policies for commercial loans, focusing on the evaluation of corporate tenants, individual properties, regional markets, target industries, commercial loan structures, and real estate borrowers / sponsors
  • Provide recommendations tied to the assessment of credit risk and present analyses, findings, and recommendations to managers
  • Develop and maintain databases, presentations, and models to support the above functions

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, economics or other business-related fields is preferred
  • 1-4 years at a top-tier investment bank, online loan originator, credit rating agency (S&P / Fitch / KBRA / DBRS-Morningstar / Moody's), traditional CRE loan originator (bank/insurance company/debt fund), or private real estate investment manager
  • Prior real estate finance experience encompassing one or more of the following:
  • Direct RE investment
  • RE-backed loan origination, structuring, and/or syndication (CMBS, agency, CLO, conduit, small balance, mortgages, etc)
  • Underwriting and/or valuations of RE loans or investments
  • Demonstrated interest in or prior experience at a fintech, VC, or some other entrepreneurial capacity is a major plus
