Epsilon® is seeking a qualified Business Systems Analyst 2 (BSA 2) that has strong technical skills and a mind/business savvy for product management. The BSA 2 will work closely with the client delivery and development teams to translate the business' wants and needs into workable solutions from both the perspective of our clients as well as the development and the business teams.
The BSA will contribute to, produce and manage client deliverables serving as a liaison between internal clients, development and production support team. The BSA provides effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership, problem solving and engineering solution skills supporting the Agile and waterfall development and delivery of our applications.
Essential Job Functions:
- Support the gathering of requirements, functional and technical specifications, and other project documentation.
- Work with business and product teams across the company to identify high-impact areas for product enhancements and build plans to advance our offerings towards collaboratively developed goals.
- Analyze business and functional requirements and identify gaps and automation opportunities in existing systems.
- Work with development staff to design and implement technical solutions.
- Support and coordinate System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and associated activities such as test planning, creating use cases -.
- Support production staff and client delivery in the use of the designed solution.
- Support and coordinate Issue Management events from troubleshooting and identification through resolution.
- Provide ad-hoc analyses and reports as well as creating standardized reports.
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
- 2 or more years prior experience as a BSA or similar role writing requirements and technical documentation and working with client delivery and development teams required.
- Experience writing SQL queries for ad-hoc analysis required.
- Experience working with data files, preferably in a UNIX/Linux environment, required.
- Prior experience working with technical staff to design and implement technical solutions required.
- Solid understanding of Relational Database Management Systems.
- Strong knowledge of SQL.
- Strong knowledge of UNIX and UNIX tools.
- Solid understanding of Hadoop and big data concepts.
- A desire to be in a role that's half tech and half business.
- Product management experience is highly desirable.
- Desire to learn and participate in the client and partner side of the business.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize.
- Self-starter with a strong initiative
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence/Reporting tools, such as MicroStrategy, Business Objects, OBIEE, or Tableau is a plus.
- Experience designing UI's. Experience with Visio and mockup tools like Balsamiq or other similar tools.
- Experience with scripting and process workflow a plus.
- Understanding of data warehouse and data mart concepts along with ETL processes is a plus.
- Prior experience using business intelligence or reporting tools preferred.
- Experience supporting change management and issue management preferred.
- Experience in systems development and SDLC preferred.
- Experience working in an Agile environment preferred.
- Experience working with a globally distributed team a plus Functional knowledge of Digital Marketing, Advertising domains
Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000
