Job summary
The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) team is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join the Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team. In this role, you'll serve as the liaison between the stakeholder business community and EDA development teams. You'll create clearly documented business, system and technical requirements across technology platforms, data operations, data management, and visualization projects. You will work directly with internal customers, back-end and front-end engineers, project managers, and other associates. You should have 5+ years of experience working as a business systems analyst in a data organization with the ability to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources and synthesize and effectively communicate requirements and impact to both developers and decision-makers. As a Business Systems Analyst, you should be proficient in Salesforce.com (SFDC), customer relationship management (CRM), SQL, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Tableau data and systems. You should have knowledge of data architecture practices and data transport methods like extract, transform, and load (ETL), enterprise service bus (ESB), and API, excellent writing and communications skills, and passion and curiosity about data, systems, and problem solving. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Analyze current and future state data flow to determine changes required in reporting
  • Communicate and consult on business requirements, eliciting business needs, and dependencies on systems and data to enable
  • Translate business needs into technical, testing and visualization/design requirements and specifications
  • Analyze and document business logic from various reporting solutions including Salesforce.com (SFDC), Tableau, SQL, Microsoft Excel, and SAP Business Objects (BOBJ)
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to define complex data requirements to support new data solutions and troubleshoot delivery against those specifications
  • Produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools
  • Plan, prioritize, and design features for the deployment of offerings
  • Define and articulate process flows to analyze dependencies
  • Develop agile stories for development team delivery
  • Communicate feature release roadmap to customers


Required skills

  • Excellent communication skills in coordinating technology solutions and processes with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com (SFDC) and Oracle e-Business Suite
  • Proficiency in data analysis
  • Knowledge of data architecture practices and data transport methods like ETL, ESB, and API
  • Proficiency in SQL, AWS, and Tableau and expertise in data management is a plus
  • Ability to translate business rules logic into technical requirements
  • Technical competency in IT industry standards and best practices
  • Experience working with business stakeholders, including Sales, Product, and Finance teams
  • Motivated, goal-oriented, and passionate about solving tough problems
  • Passion and curiosity for data and problem solving
  • 5+ years of experience working in a business analyst role
  • 5+ years of experience working in business intelligence with data analytics tools
  • Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
