The incumbent will be supporting the Business Architect for Credit and Fraud Risk Capabilities within American Express. This is a business & technology facing role, understanding the business process from strategy or product managers, and analyzing the current state of solution from product owners or technology teams.

The incumbent will also be responsible for conducting day to day solution management cadence in SAFE (Scaled Agile) framework for the assigned ART (Agile Release Trains). The successful individual ensures solution architecture adheres to blueprint defined by the business architect and helps in mapping out the current state of capabilities/platform to drive upliftment towards latest version of capabilities/platform. Additionally, the role will be responsible for creating newsletter and leadership presentations to share the solution architecture and weekly progress. Requires strong organizational, technical, creative problem-solving skills and presentation skills. Must work well in a dynamic, complex environment and under deadline pressures.

Responsibilities
  • Capture current and future state of solution architecture for customer journeys
  • Analyze and document the capability/platform mapping for a customer journey across markets and products, and help with migration from legacy to future state platforms
  • Maintain the inventory and knowledge base on business processes, business capabilities and technical components along with other architectural artefacts e.g. data architecture, application architecture
  • Create monthly newsletter for the team highlighting new solution, backlog, and key milestones
  • Create leadership presentations to walk-through high-level solutions

A successful candidate will have:

- 3-5 years of business systems analyst or product owner experience

- A good balance of business acumen and technical knowledge with a customer-first mindset

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills

- 1-2 years of solution architecture experience is a plus

- Financial services industry experience is a plus

- Enthusiasm and passion for product development

- High degree of organization, individual initiative and personal accountability

- MBA or Computer Science degree related technical field is ideal
