As a Business Systems Analyst at Apex Silver you are responsible for solving problems and answering questions on existing system behavior and system enhancements/fixes. You will also maintain system specification documents, test plans, and test artifacts. You should be able to work independently with help from teammates, and enjoy digging into reports, data, and files to analyze and help solve problems/answer questions. You provide leadership by ensuring our product(s) and support teams are exceeding expectations for all internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:

• Analyze user stories, technical design, and business logic
• Participate in story estimations and collaborate on approach ideation
• Document technical system specifications
• Document core system functional test plans and acceptance criteria
• Execute and analyze core system functional tests
• Perform analysis and document data mappings for external system integrations
• Help answer escalated UAT and production issues and questions
• Assist with internal training and release elevation

Experience and Attributes:

• Requires a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 1-3 years of experience as a business systems analyst, product manager, or fintech-related operations analyst (or similar)
• Experience with or aptitude to learn SQL, Linux, data comparison and analysis, and API documentation tools
• Ability to independently analyze data-centric issues and help communicate possible root causes
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Desire to dig into problems and collaborate with product owners, other analysts, and developers to resolve
• "Roll-up-your-sleeves and help get the job done" attitude
• Takes ownership for assignments - especially documentation and test evaluation
• Inclination to foster improvement - especially regarding products and processes - and communicate ideas/honest feedback
• Basic understanding of financial services technology - especially regarding fintech functionality related to cost basis, tax reporting, and wealth management - desired
