Job Description

This role will coordinate and guide development of solutions that involve multiple sources and types of data from Business Units across Rockwell Automation. The solutions will incorporate, but not be limited to defining business requirements, connectivity to source data systems or devices, transformation technical requirements, identification of opportunities to apply AI/ML to iIOT and Enterprise analytics.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Combine comprehension of Business Requirements with broad technical knowledge of system capabilities and their underlying data structures.
  • Ability to communicate at multiple levels, including executive leadership. In addition to interfacing business needs to technical development resources, the position is responsible for:
    • Conducting all agile events for the team
    • Maintaining Sprint plans in Jira and Jira Align
    • Coordinating Program Increment Planning for the Advanced Analytics Team
  • The team is multi-national, so a flexible work schedule is needed to conduct meetings outside of standard business hours

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data analytics or related field.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Organized with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks within and cross teams
  • Familiar with Cloud Services (Azure preferred: ADLS, SQL/DW, ADF, AAS, Databricks)
  • Document and quantify requirements: SMART User Stories, tasks, business value
  • Program and relationship management: bringing cross functional teams into alignment
  • Communications at different level: from technical to leadership decision support
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML methodologies
  • Experience working with ERP data structures
  • Relational database design, including normalization, relationships between Master, Transactional and Reference data, parent-child and hierarchical structures
  • Data warehouse methodologies - dimensional modeling
  • Understand benefits of different environments: on-prem, Edge, cloud/IaaS, PaaS
  • Broad knowledge of business functions and their processes: e.g. Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain & Logistics, Manufacturing, Finance, etc.
  • Strong understanding of ETL, governance/metadata, integrations
  • Tool/Platform skills that must be brought to the role or quickly learned:
    • Jira and Jira Align
    • Understanding enterprise environment: Dev/QA/Prod
    • Understanding of DevOps development and promotion; notebooks
    • Microsoft Teams
