Business System Analyst in this function supports day-to-day activities as a consultant supporting delivery team in partnering with healthcare clients across a range of projects. This role contributes to the success of our practice by working with our engineering teams to help mature our products and services in addition to working with our clients to delivery and implement solutions. The Business System Analyst will own key functional areas of our internal tool set and are the go-to person for defining user stories and ensuring the timely delivery of a quality product. Business System Analyst is responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement within the product or process, refining a product backlog and accomplishing tactical objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contribute and participate in delivery team to provide on-site and off-site consultative services for consulting projects with healthcare clients
  • Lead collaboration efforts with business stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams to refine business initiatives
  • Provide guidance to the client and to ServiceNow technical resources in the implementation of future processes
  • Advise on all things functional and operationally related to our product engineering builds and delivery of client's implementation projects
  • Develop quality user stories that are consistently written and adhere to acceptance criteria standards
  • Ensure that the highest prioritized user stories are clearly understood by business stakeholders and Scrum team members before the start of the sprint
  • Create and communicate requirements artifacts that translate business needs into executable stories
  • Utilize technical expertise to apply relevant technical processes to appropriate business needs
  • Produce custom client project deliverables and related artifacts
  • Document key discussion points, decisions reached, and next steps in internal and client facing interactions
  • Regularly connect and collaborate with Engagement Leads and team members to assign and complete project tasks
  • Demonstrate solid relationship management skills through successfully partnering with colleagues and clients

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 3 + years of experience in discovery, identification, and documentation of technical product requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, healthcare experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile methodology techniques, ceremonies, and agile tools
  • 2+ years of experience with ServiceNow
  • Willingness to travel 25% to client onsite as needed

Preferred Qualifcations:

  • Certifications in; Six Sigma, ITIL, Prosci, Service-Now ITSM, ITBM (SPM), Agile Scrum Product Owner, PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PBA)
  • 2+ years of ServiceNow ITSM, ITBM(SPM) tool experience and skilled with various OOB features, workflows, and integrations
  • Consulting Experience, with preferred experience in healthcare
  • Technical expertise to apply relevant technical processes to appropriate business needs
  • Ability to face moderately difficult problems/issues that require moderately complex analysis

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
