Business Systems Analyst - Job Description

We are looking for a creative and collaborative Business Systems Analyst (BSA) who will play a key role in helping the organization develop, enhance, and maintain our systems and processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for solving complex business challenges by performing in-depth analysis and defining system requirements (and controls). You will have the opportunity to utilize your critical thinking skills, drive for results, superior customer service, strong written/verbal communication skills, and systems knowledge to help design systems that create a Wow experience for our job seekers, employees, and clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be an example for our people by demonstrating Medical Solutions' Core Values (Own It. Connect. Wow) in everything you do.
  • Gather business and technical requirements, identify dependencies (process, system, or data related), write agile stories, develop use case scenarios, and assist QA in creating and executing test plans.
  • Capture knowledge by creating functional documents including requirement documents, process flows, system flows, and data flows.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, system integrations, and continuous improvement of both supported systems and team processes/procedures.
  • Serve as the conduit amongst business owners, development team, and third parties regarding software functionality during the software development life cycle.
  • Manage the analysis, initial troubleshooting, and distribution of technical issues for supported systems.
  • Manage project timelines and changes to scope to ensure the timely completion of assigned efforts.
  • Write and update system and team procedures, as necessary.
  • Facilitate the creation of technical change requests for system updates/releases.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study
  • A minimum of three years of systems analysis or business analysis experience
  • Experience utilizing SQL to access and analyze data
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
