Overview
Member of a technology and analytics team that will focus on innovation and process improvement within Consumer Direct Lending. Primary responsibilities include utilizing business analysis and data science techniques to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, drive strategy and to implement solutions through process engineering, automation and alternative technologies. Team members will also help drive strategic technology initiatives and act as a liaison between core IT functions and business leadership along with providing general analytics support.
Job Description

• Perform analysis and produce reporting on regular and ad-hoc basis
• Understand, interpret, and present recommendations for action based on a data-driven analytics
• Identify and develop automation processes to improve efficiency
• Build and deploy statistical or machine learning models
• Assist in the development and testing of proof of concept technology projects
• Provide technology recommendations to management
• Provide general reporting and analytics support to business leaders

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

• Technology, Mathematics, Finance or Economics background preferred
• Proficiency in SQL
• Advanced understanding of data creation, extraction, manipulation, analysis and storage
• Familiarity with basic statistical and machine learning modeling concepts
• Experience with statistical or data science software (R, Python, SAS, etc.)
• Experience in using or developing on cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services (AWS) a plus)
• Demonstrate ability to provide and implement a solution to a problem articulated by management
• Ability to communicate key concepts in analytics and technology effectively
• Familiarity with mortgage banking, and mortgage related regulatory requirements helpful
