About the job
The Red Hat Business team is looking for a Business Process Analyst to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to run the business by providing support to Offering Governance. You will assist in processing requests from the Business teams to change and create offerings as well as assist with the creation of quarterly Price Books. In addition, you will assist with the implementation of new tools, systems, and process that support the management of Red Hat's offering portfolio. As a Business Process Analyst, you will assist in mapping current-state processes, gathering stakeholder requirements, and creating a roadmap to achieve a desired future state. You will perform ongoing evaluations of processes, feedback sessions with stakeholders, and continuous coordination across business teams. Most frequently, your key stakeholders will be other operations associates, product teams, and field-facing business development teams. In the long term, you will create operational efficiencies that will reduce friction and enable Red Hat to scale more efficiently. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision makers
  • Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences
  • Construct forecasts, recommendations, and strategic and tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge
  • Create specifications for reports and analyses based on business needs and required or available data elements
  • Provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues
  • Directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools


What you will bring

  • 3+ years of experience working in operations, marketing, or finance in high-tech companies, or previous internship at Red Hat
  • Either a business and marketing background with experience bringing offerings or programs to market, or direct operations expertise in high-tech business settings
  • Ability to think creatively, blending quantitative assessments, qualitative inputs, and vision to create potential future alternatives
  • Ability to analyze, synthesize and deliver information in a variety of ways and to a variety of audiences, including executives and other business leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity; open-mindedness to multiple points of view and ability to think on your own
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills focused on clear and concise recommendations related to complex problems and analyses
  • Very detail and logic-oriented and thorough
  • Confidence working with a team of equally qualified professionals toward a common growth goals
  • Enterprise infrastructure software marketplace knowledge is a plus
  • MBA degree and certification in program and project management or Six Sigma are a plus
