Job Purpose
MX is looking to add a Business Operations Analyst to the Business Operations team. You will be responsible for identifying and reducing the greatest sources of operational friction for the business through comprehensive business analysis, standardized business documentation and clearly and effectively recommending the best courses of actions for improvement.
What you'll get to do
- Analyze operational objectives and functional requirements by studying company strategy, objectives and key results, and business functions to best support the business strategy and objectives.
- Dive deep into data, systems, teams and processes to ask the necessary questions to understand and analyze the business in its entirety. Understanding the needed changes small or large to achieve company objectives.
- Provide standardization and best practices for business process and business analyst documentation across departments in order to establish a unified language.
- Assist strategic program or project managers by developing plans and prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Improve business processes and operational effectiveness using continuous improvement and lean six sigma methodologies.
- Master business process modeling, Value Stream Documentation, traceability, and quality management techniques and teach them to the company.
- Identify and establish success parameters (metrics) to gain insight into project impact and outcome criteria.
- Effectively communicate business needs and important changes to stakeholders.
You'll do it using your
- Bachelor's degree or similar in business management, economics, information systems, software engineering, or finance, with at least 4 years of professional experience; or Master's degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, or equivalent with at least 2 years of professional experience
- Ability to distill complex information into easily consumable diagrams, reports, and communications that provide insights, enabling quick decision making
- Experience in BPMN, MS Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides required
- Expertise in understanding the different aspects of operations; people, processes, objectives, systems, and metrics.
- Ability to unravel company metrics and understand the real impact different processes, and actions have on the organization.
- Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholder expectations, timelines, and deliverables
- Strong analytic acumen and a deep understanding of the flow of business processes across multiple roles, teams, and departments, inclusive of a keen attention to detail, inter/intra-dependencies, etc.
