Why we’re hiring
Alloy is growing quickly, and we're looking to expand our analytics and insights capabilities on the Business Operations team to ensure that company has the data it needs to make smart decisions as it scales. Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, you'll partner with leaders across Alloy to define the metrics that best reflect the quality of their team's work, and then deliver high-quality dashboards, reporting, and insights on those metrics. You'll also partner closely with Alloy's product-focused data engineering team to improve our data modeling and operational data processes. As the first Analyst on the Business Operations team, you'll have a significant influence on what company dashboards will look like visually and how they'll be delivered to our management team
What we are looking for someone who has:
BA in a quantitative field, or equivalent experience
You know SQL like the back of your hand, and you're familiar with at least one other language such as Python/R
You have experience in a highly analytical role in fast-paced environments
You have a knack for details, and making sure things are correct/accurate
You have experience with growth-stage technology startup business metrics and are familiar with BI tools such as Looker, Sisense, Tableau, Chart.io
You enjoy collaborating with a diverse group of people, and bring a "work hard, have fun" attitude (BizOps is a small but mighty team!)
What you’ll be doing
Leverage a deep, data-driven understanding of the key drivers and metrics underpinning Alloy's products and business lines to draw insights and make recommendations that will help the company grow and scale effectively
Lead requirements gathering, implementation, and monitoring of business analytics dashboards that will be shared and communicated to key decision-makers
Conduct bespoke analyses and research (e.g., analyzing usage trends) with leadership-level stakeholders to drive insights that support company and function-specific strategic initiatives
Develop an extensive understanding of Alloy's data landscape to help Alloy build and maintain its business intelligence analytics processes
Ensure key business operating metrics are reportable on a regular cadence, establishing and maintaining a standard of data excellence through process work, monitoring, and regular communication with accountable business owners
Foster a culture of data-driven decision making and BI adoption across the organization through developing and sharing insights regularly
