The Treasury Recon and Analysis team helps link together the end-to-end movements of customer money through Square’s banking structure and develop strategy around bank activity reconciliation and funds flow operations. The Business Operations Analyst will bring strategic focus to the function and leverage data insights to drive performance.

You Will:

• Partner with money movement platform and product teams at Square to understand and document the relationships between internal money movement events and the resulting bank account activity
• Identify and collaborate with internal end-users of electronic bank data and bank reconciliation outputs
• Develop business requirements that guide our Finance Business Systems team on strategic, technical initiatives
• Establish operational metrics and manage responsibility for certain KPIs, including the requirement to identify and implement process improvements where needed
• Work with rest of Treasury team to develop reporting requirements and surface insights from bank activity
• Manage operational processes involving the use of electronic bank data
• Perform ad hoc analysis involving internal bank data and reconciliation services

You Will:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a business operations role at a technology company, management consulting, or similar background
• Experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams on projects
• Natural curiosity to understand and resolve complex problems involving large amounts of data
• Enthusiasm for taking on new challenges
• Experience with SQL or data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau)
• Experience defining and tracking operational metrics
