About This Job

This role serves as a business, technology and systems liaison, solutions consultant, and technical relationship manager with internal business lines and external clients and vendors to develop, support and implement technical solutions for Merchant Service clients and Acquiring Processing needs. The BLSA will work with clients at various levels (bookkeepers to C-level) to review, analyze, and evaluate business processes, systems, technology requirements, and user needs to help determine the most effective and efficient merchant processing solution(s).

Essential Functions
  • Consulting and client Support
  • Implementations include collecting specific requirements used to configure product offering
  • Configurations include:
    • requirements gathering,
    • application functionality based on business rules,
    • Import and Export File Specs and Delivery Methods
    • user set up,
    • permissions rules set ups,
    • training (Onsite or via Teams),
    • normalization of program prior to handoff to account management,
  • Level II Technical Support with limited research and recommendations for Level III support
  • Communicate customer/vendor issues and questions, project updates, system problems, etc., to technical and non-technical customers (internal and external)
  • Collaborates and coordinates problem-solving efforts between clients and IT or third-party vendors, software support, investigation and analysis of problems related to the analyst area of responsibility.
  • Notify and prepare end-users clients for system outages, releases, and enhancements
  • Administer system change control and maintain system access in test and production environments by adhering to policies/procedures and documenting all changes.
  • Some travel may be required.

Work location: This role is categorized as mainly remote. At Commerce Bank, we believe our team members are in tune with the needs of their respective role and professional enough to know when they should be in-person. Some in-person meetings may be required in the Kansas City, MO metro area, particularly for "moments that matter."

Knowledge Skills & AbilitiesRequired
  • Demonstrated decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as technical aptitude
  • Experience with generating reports via databases such as Access and SalesForce
  • Experience using software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and Visio
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and staff members
  • Knowledge of basic troubleshooting and application support preferred
  • Some familiarity with technical job duties, file transfer protocol and practices, and telecom/line connectivity configurations preferred
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesin a fast-paced environment
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  • Intermediatelevel proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Business Management, Computer Information Systems, or related area or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • BLSA level I or level II dependent on years of related business system analyst experience
