We love to analyze, model, and solve problems. The Finance team includes key functions including Accounting, Corporate Development, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Billing Operations. About you:
The Business Intelligence Engineer, Finance role will be responsible for creating and/or maintaining the data and reporting infrastructure necessary to facilitate financial reporting, analytics, and predictive modeling for key finance stakeholders. If you enjoy working at the intersection of Finance, data engineering, and data science and achieving highly impactful outcomes through cross-functional collaboration, this role is for you.
You will:
- Ensure Convoy’s success through the design and creation of financially accurate systems and reports
- Design and deliver data pipelines, reports and dashboards with financial and non-financial metrics
- Define and implement Key Finance metrics and reports based on business requirements
- Learn and understand data sources, types, and limitations
- Partner with Finance teams (FP&A, Accounting, Corporate Development) to satisfy data and reporting needs for key processes and analyses
- Partner with Infrastructure engineering and Data Science on reporting framework and allocation methodologies to support financial reporting
- Be the subject matter expert on key leadership financial reports (daily Flash, weekly business review reporting views)x`
- Provide reporting capability for Month End/Quarter End Close, Budgeting and Forecasting, Board Meetings, Billing Operations
- Drive data quality improvements across the organization
We’re looking for someone who has:
- 3-7+ years of working with financial reporting systems and financial statements
- Specific systems & tools experience: Workday Financials, Tableau, SQL, Python, Snowflake, 5Tran, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, ETL/ELT tools, e,g, dbt
- Successfully gathered and translate reporting requirements into robust, repeatable, efficient dashboards and reports
- Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
- Built and/or maintained a financial reporting system
- Passion for high data quality and governance
- Ability to perform basic statistical analysis to inform business decisions
- Ability to turn complex problems into simple solutions
- Proven ability to succeed in both collaborative and independent work environments
- Track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to self-direct, multitask, and prioritize a constantly evolving workload
Pay & Benefits
The salary for this role in the state of Washington is between $99,000 and $141,000. This range may depend on factors including but not limited to applicant’s location, skills, prior relevant experience, and leveling. Hired applicant is also eligible to receive equity grants in the form of either a direct grant of stock or an option to purchase stock in the future for a specified price.
