Eaton has an opening for an Business Intelligence Data Analyst in the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (BICOE).This position can be located at any Eaton US location and is eligible for a hybrid work setup.

Position Overview:

  • Provide technical leadership and ensure seamless delivery on 2-4 parallel projects
  • Be responsible for designing secure, stable, and scalable solutions for complex business intelligence projects. This includes design from high level data flow to low level data models.
  • Partner with additional technical teams including Admin, Integration, Development, Platform, Data Management, Infrastructure and Support to deliver business results and value through projects.
  • Be responsible for process, standards, governance and performance of the shared structures and technical environments.
  • Provide domain expertise and architecture guidance for most Functional areas such as Quote/Order Management, Finance, Supply Chain and Manufacturing
  • Regularly communicates and reinforces status, prioritization, and timing back to project, program and organizational leaders of critical success measures, issues, and mitigation strategies.
  • Introduce industry relevant best practices and improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and proficiency of team.
  • Provide thought leadership and hands on support to the governance process, Release Management, Peer Reviews, and promote standards across our technical teams.
  • Provide guidance / support locally within the region and globally as required to guide and troubleshoot complex problems in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate new products and Tools for enabling new capability in the BICOE.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within IT Business Intelligence is required
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools and methods including but not limited to Informatica, Oracle Business Intelligence, Hadoop, NoSQL, Big Data principals, Qlikview, PowerBI
  • Expert level understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence principles
  • Expert level understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Intermediate level understanding of Hadoop ecosystems
  • Expert level understanding of relational database principles


Position Criteria:

  • Proven experience working with large data volumes
  • Ability to quickly analyze situations and produce sound architecture to scale and for reusability
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to communicate with users at all levels of the organization. Communications with stakeholders, clients, and internal technical teams is critical
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills; ability to interview user community, understand and document business information requirements
  • Familiarity with enterprise (ERP, CRM, SCM and HRM) systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, Salesforce and Siebel C360
  • Self-motivated to continuously learn and expand knowledge on difficult/new concepts
  • Intermediate understanding of Cloud based services, interfaces, and integration techniques

Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $95,000 - $165,000 a year.
