Overview of Position
The Business Intelligence Data Analyst will be responsible for providing analysis of various of business data to ensure delivery of meaningful metrics and dashboards. This role will provide business recommendations for system enhancements and new capabilities, to achieve process improvements throughout the business unit.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Work with business analysts to interview stakeholders to determine data requirements required to support business reporting and analytics
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements; and work with engineering to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Develop detailed data requirements for inclusion in product requirements
  • Use target data to recommend visualization patterns that facilitate the achievement of business insight
  • Apply business knowledge, analytical methods, and problem-solving skills to perform assignments and improve efficiencies within existing systems, tools, processes, functions, and applications
  • Up to 5% travel



What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related work experience
  • 5+ years relevant work experience in a data analyst or other technical analyst role in healthcare
  • 5+ years of analytical and technical experience with data use and sources
  • Experience developing and implementing effective analytic frameworks and data visualizations
  • Solid understanding of enterprise master data, and data/information architecture
  • Experience using Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as TIBCO Spotfire, to create report wireframes and custom data extracts/visualizations



What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Experience with healthcare data including provider and payer data needs, as well as clearinghouse data types such as ANSI X.12
  • Working knowledge of data warehouse and database technology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to accomplish goals
  • Proficient in in using MS Office suite
  • Experience using Tableau
