Square’s success is largely built on the success of Square’s ecosystem. GRM Data Science & Analytics helps to accomplish this job by helping our business partners identify the best potential customer for their products. As a business analyst on the Audience Ops team, you will have access to Square’s rich data and set the best targeting strategy for cross sell and lifecycle campaigns via Square’s owned communication channels. You will partner closely with Growth Retention Marketing data scientists to build necessary infrastructure and product marketing managers to translate campaign strategies into machine languages. We are looking for seasoned and passionate analysts to join our data team.

You will:

• Train and consult with PMMs on self-serving audience creation through internal tools, SQL queries, and real-time event platforms (Amplitude Recommend) 

• Provide complex query support for specialized audiences when existing tools are inadequate and/or when resourcing is limited with decentralized product analysts

• Facilitate education and best practices for using self-serve audience creation tools

Qualifications

You have:

• 4+ years of analytics experience or equivalent

• Expert-level fluency with SQL

• Experience working with a wide spectrum of cross-functional stakeholders on multiple projects

• Ability to explore datasets and troubleshoot anomalies with limited guidance 

• Passionate about educating stakeholders on technical terms

Even better:

• Familiarity with email marketing and lifecycle marketing

• Experience with self-serve segmentation tools such as Iterable, Amplitude, etc.
