Utilizing strong creative, communication, and leadership skills, the Business Insights Manager drives cross-functional cooperation with our internal business development teams, manages multiple strategic and complex projects that require strong analytical skills, and acts as a mentor to others within the team. The incumbent exhibits a strong passion for data-driven storytelling related to the performance of consumer and retailer promotions.

Primary Accountabilities:

Strategic (30%)

  • Independently lead strategy discussions with sales team partners and clients
  • Help develop sales positioning based on data insights, market trends & engagement background
  • Build insightful recommendations based on POS data, social search / listening, industry trends
  • Independently lead the development of sales presentations - developing compelling and relevant data visualizations, insights and recommendations to strengthen the Inmar solutions
  • Collaborate with sales team partners on long-term planning discussions with key clients in each category
  • Provide strategic, social and industry insights to Inmar team members across all teams within the organization



Leadership (20%)

  • Act as a leader and mentor to sales team members, other Business Insights Managers and others within the strategy team
  • Relay complicated research methods and analytics to non-technical audiences who are responsible for pitching the deck to prospects and customers



Influence (20%)

  • Focus on client retention, growth and renewal by building strategic business client relationships alongside sales team
  • Provide input to product marketing and sales leaders relevant to market trends, client needs/feedback and new product features
  • Develop and maintain deep expertise and knowledge of all Inmar products and understand how Inmar products will assist brands in reaching their marketing goals



Analytical (20%)

  • Research new products / tools to incorporate within Inmar analytics suite
  • Bring recommendations to life visually and strategically within presentation format
  • Identify new Category / Seasonal opportunities for the Inmar sales teams based on research and market feedback



Operational (10%)

  • Independently manage queue of insight/analytical requests across Inmar enterprise
  • Demonstrate proficiencies in the emerging media, content marketing and consumer promotions space
  • Use Salesforce as a CRM tool including reporting and tracking of sales impact of efforts



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in business, marketing, analytics or related discipline
  • 4-6 years' experience working in a professional environment, preferably in shopper or brand marketing, media agency, research/analytics or related field, or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position
  • Strong client facing experience, preferably in a sales-oriented role presenting recommendations/results to clients
  • Experience with complex data visualization and insights development strongly preferred
  • Proficiency working with the following software programs:
    • Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Google Drive
    • Google Slides
    • Salesforce
  • Familiarity with Tableau
  • Knowledge or previous experience with consumer promotions and/or social media/media
  • Project Management experience strongly preferred
