About the Role

The Business Insights Analyst will contribute to the overall performance of Stitch Fix by supporting the Styling Business Operations team with tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) that impact overall Fix fulfillment with a lens on Styling. 

This role is a hybrid of traditional roles in business analysis, research, data visualization and storytelling – requiring a mix of strategic thinking, analytics and data management, and business operations skills. This is a perfect opportunity for someone with a strong analytical background who loves solving operational problems across a broad spectrum of disciplines and wants the opportunity to have an impact on a growing organization. Reporting to the Manager of Styling Business Operations, you will work closely with the Styling Leadership team, Strategy team, and cross-functional partners across the organization for the US and UK Field teams.

• Define and build the insights methodology, in partnership with the Manager of Business Operations, to monitor business performance as a Styling team
• Create standardized reports and visualizations to serve the business
• Command a data set, including financial and operational metrics, that applies the right questions and frameworks to analysis, and is committed to accuracy
• Recommend improvements to data capture and reporting structures to serve the business in a more seamless manner
• Document methods to ensure consistent analysis over time
• Explore and bring new tools and methodologies to the Insights team 
• Present findings to a range of stakeholders from subject matter experts to business leaders
• Share appropriate reporting with cross-functional partners, rooted in the “so what” for each stakeholder
• Communicate trends, risks and recommendations clearly to key stakeholders, in order to adjust operational strategies real-time and enhance the effectiveness of the Styling organization
• Create deliverables that tell the story of the data for unique audiences and move them to action
• Inform strategic decision-making and provide a consistent pulse on performance 
• Interpret data that will guide operational planning decisions
• Analyze impact of operational decisions through ROI analysis and tracking KPIs 
• Partner with cross-functional insights teams, data engineering and data science to identify upstream and downstream impacts from Styling results on overall business performance and fulfillment

We’re excited about you because...

• You have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance, or a related field
• You have 3-5 years of work experience in analytical role
• You are a Rockstar at building models in Excel and are passionate about the work. Experience with SQL and Looker or Tableau is a plus.
• You are proactive, like to work in a fast-paced environment, have great attention to detail and are a strong communicator
• Experience with retail or e-commerce preferred
• You’re a self-starter who takes initiative and can work cross-functionally
