We are hiring a Business Information Architect to join our Enterprise Data Organization. This role is a trusted advisor to Group Benefit senior leadership about data. One primary responsibility is continually leading the business through defining their goals and objects related to data, and aligning data delivery to those objectives. To succeed in this position, you should be able to understand the value and limitations of different technical data architecture patterns and guide the business towards decisions that achieve the outcomes they're looking for.
You will work closely with technology colleagues within the larger Enterprise Data Organization and to shape the architectural approach for consumers and producers of cross-functional GB data. The role will require building relationships with both business and technology colleagues.

We are hiring a Business Information Architect to join our Enterprise Data Organization. This role is a trusted advisor to Group Benefit senior leadership about data. To succeed in this position, you should be able to understand the value and limitations of different technical data architecture patterns and guide the business towards decisions that achieve the outcomes they're looking for.
You will work closely with technology colleagues within the larger Enterprise Data Organization and to shape the architectural approach for consumers and producers of cross-functional GB data. The role will require building relationships with both business and technology colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain the GB data strategy, with a roadmap of deliverables that aligns to the planning and funding process
- Partner with other data delivery leaders to ensure roadmap items have accurate estimates
- Ensure data architecture is aligned to GB business strategy
- Participate in GB Op Planning discussions to ensure dependencies on data delivery resources are understood
- Advise projects to ensure data assets are built to align with the line of business and corporate/enterprise strategic data goals
- Consult with business partners and IT teams to provide expertise around data, business process, technology, and usage of information. Ensure that Data is considered up front as Epics/Projects efforts are shaped and strategized.
- Mentor business partners and IT teams users to help them understand data concepts, business processes, and data usage
- Identify the activities that actually make data a strategic asset and help guide investments away from activities that just complete a checklist
- Proactively ensure that the business needs and objectives are understood by stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of delivery, from strategizing to executing
- Exhibit courageous leadership and a bias for actions that lead to outcomes, driving the right data solutions through influencing and challenging colleagues to think differently
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with at least 5+ years of experience in the Group Benefits line including experience in business architecture, information/data architecture, and/or analytics is required
- Prior experience as a team member that enabled the successful delivery of IT initiatives
- Prior experience with Agile Delivery
- Exceptional planning and critical thinking skills. Ability to provide options and articulate what the business implications of different data solutions are.
- Strong written and verbal communication to interact effectively with both technical and nontechnical users at all levels of the organization, including senior executives. Ability to context switch and translate between highly technical discussions and what matters to non-technical business users.
- Proven track record of influencing skills within a matrix environment
- Dedication to achieving true and lasting agreement when decisions are made
- Experience driving awareness of new approaches and industry trends with respect to Business Data Analysis end-to-end process management
